Oakville Hydro's rates and services are regulated by the Ontario Energy Board, an independent Ontario provincial government agency. Oakville Hydro, at any time, may have one or more applications before the Ontario Energy Board (OEB), and may also be participating in other proceedings initiated by the Ontario Energy Board.

Oakville Hydro's 2022 Electricity Distributor Scorecard

Tariff of Rates and Charges, Effective January 1, 2024
On December 14, 2024, the Ontario Energy Board approved Oakville Hydro’s Tariff of Rates and Charges effective January 1, 2024. To view the Tariff, click here.
Oakville Hydro Electricity Distribution Inc.’s Licence
Oakville Hydro is licenced by the Ontario Energy Board to distribute electricity in the Town of Oakville. To view Oakville Hydro’s distribution license, click here. As a condition of license, Oakville Hydro is required to comply the following Codes (collectively the “Codes") approved by the Board.
a) the Affiliate Relationships Code for Electricity Distributors and Transmitters;
b) the Distribution System Code;
c) the Retail Settlement Code; and
d) the Standard Supply Service Code.

Conditions of Service
Oakville Hydro’s Conditions of Service document describes our operating practices and connection policies. Oakville Hydro is required to comply with its Conditions of Service but may waive a provision of its Conditions of Service in favour of a customer or potential customer. Ontario’s System-Wide Electricity Supply Mix: 2022 Data
On September 12, 2022, the Ministry of Energy provided information regarding Ontario’s 2021 system-wide electricity supply mix data to electricity suppliers.
