Rebuilding Our Overhead and Underground Distribution System
Oakville Hydro has an ongoing plan to replace overhead powerlines, poles, transformers, and underground cables that are at end of life. Projects are selected based on results of the asset management plan, including asset condition assessments and the asset's health index. Completion of these projects will improve reliability and enhance safety and reduce future maintenance costs.

System Capacity Map
Oakville Hydro’s distribution system capacity map provides customers, businesses and EV charging providers with insights into available capacity at the transformer station and feeder levels for feeders operating at 8kV or higher. While the map is a useful preliminary planning tool, the grid is dynamic and capacity may change between updates. For the most accurate and up-to-date capacity information, contact Oakville Hydro’s Engineering team before proceeding with detailed project planning.
