Oakville Hydro is pleased to receive support from the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) through the Innovation Sandbox Challenge, a tool which supports innovation in the energy sector.
Scott Mudie, EVP, Chief Energy Transformation Officer at Oakville Hydro explained, “Leveraging the OEB’s funding, Oakville Hydro will build a digital tool designed to help residential and small business customers understand, assess and identify their energy transition options, as well as opportunities to meaningfully participate in the energy transition. We’re very excited to lead the way, right here in Oakville.”
The OEB invited project submissions focusing on two themes:
“The energy transition requires bold thinking. The Innovation Sandbox Challenge is a perfect example of how we’re harnessing innovation to address that transition head on. Working collectively with these diverse, forward-thinking proponents, we can come up with practical solutions that deliver meaningful outcomes for consumers,” shared Susanna Zagar, CEO at the Ontario Energy Board.
