Oakville Hydro is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of its Public Electrical Safety Survey. The survey, conducted during the month of March, is a requirement of the Ontario Energy Board to assess the community's understanding of safe electrical practices.

Peter Michaud, Oakville Hydro’s Vice President of Sustainability and Chief Health and Safety Officer shared, “I am excited to report that community participation was at an all-time high and achieved in record time. This demonstrates that safety is not only Oakville Hydro’s top priority, but a top priority for the community we serve.”

This year, Oakville Hydro supercharged its public electrical safety survey campaign. For every survey response collected, a donation was made to the Kerr Street Mission. As a result of community participation, 100 families received groceries and essential items.

Scott Mudie, Oakville Hydro’s EVP and Chief Energy Transformation Officer added, “I am so proud to be a part of this community. Thanks to your participation, those most in need received essential food items. You made this possible!”

Oakville Hydro extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in the survey and acted in support of their community. The insights gathered will inform Oakville Hydro’s Utility Scorecard and will be utilized to improve communication to the public about electrical safety.
