Oakville Hydro’s Peter Michaud Recognized with Sustainable Leadership Award from Electricity Canada

(Toronto, ON) November 28, 2024 – Peter Michaud, Vice President, Sustainability and Chief Health and Safety Officer at Oakville Hydro, has been awarded the 2024 Sustainable Leadership Award by Electricity Canada. The award is presented annually by Electricity Canada to an individual who has shown extraordinary leadership in advancing sustainability, environmental stewardship and responsible energy practices within Canada’s electricity sector.

Peter is recognized for his significant engagement and contributions to Electricity Canada’s sustainability initiatives. His input has positively impacted the restructuring of the Sustainable Electricity Program, and renewed members' interest in discussing the global warming potential of SF6 (Sulfur hexafluoride), a potent greenhouse gas used in electrical equipment.

Electricity Canada presented the Sustainable Electricity Awards at the annual Powering Partnerships summit in Toronto, Ontario.
