(Oakville, ON) March 27, 2023 – Oakville Hydro reports that during Earth Hour the Town of Oakville saved approximately 11.3 MWh, which is equivalent to turning off about 750,000 15-watt light bulbs for one hour.

“Earth Hour is an annual reminder of the vital importance of caring for our planet,” said Scott Mudie, EVP, Chief Energy Transformation Officer at Oakville Hydro. “The movement and mission created by Earth Hour has expanded in 2023 to include encouraging positive actions for earth, which is a theme we encourage throughout the year. Together, even the smallest sustainable action adds up to make a significant difference. Thank you to the community for their continued efforts.”
